Safari In Tanzania

Set out on a wildlife safari amid the incredible diversity of landscapes in Tanzania’s most famous game parks: Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Visit the Olduvai George where on expedition in 1960, Homo habilis, regarded as one of the earliest members of the human genus was discovered. Four decades later, in 1999 a 3.5-million-year-old skull and partial jaw believed to belong to a new branch of early hominid was also found discoveries that have shaped our understanding of human origins.

Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes and flamingos.

Ngorongoro crater is 2,000 feet deep and its volcanic slopes shelter almost 30,000 animals. You may see elephants, rhinos, buffalo, cheetahs, lions, hyenas, hippos, wildebeests as well as a variety of birds and ungulates. Crater floor is sprinkled with watering holes and the crater is a volcanic caldera that spans an area more than 100 square miles.

You can witness the great annual wildebeest migration in the Serengeti National Park. Embark on an early morning game drive to view wildlife at one of their most active times of the day. Look for herds of zebra or wildebeest eyeing a predator warily and spot crocodiles as their snouts surface in the Grumeti River. Or take in a birds-eye view of the plains on hot-air baloon ride.

Namibia Desert Escape

The Namib is the world’s oldest desert. It stretches along the Atlantic shore of Namibia between Angola and South Africa and contains sun baked landforms, beaches tinted red populated by seal colonies, sand dunes that are among the worlds highest and beetles that collect few dew drops while standing on their heads.

At first glance it seems impossible that any organism could survive in the desert. However the dunes teem with highly adaptive and happy inhabitants. Get down on your knees and dig a little in the sand - you will be fascinated!

The Namib is a different planet and Namibia itself is a diverse and welcoming place for travelers. The best way to experience the diversity of the land, from the coast to the dunes, salt pans, and savannas of Etosha is a safari. An expert guide makes all the difference in a safari - for a good guide the ground is like a newspaper and animal tracks are easy to read. After an hour of walking around, you should know who’s in the neighborhood, who’s doing what and who has eaten who.

Have a super-zoom digital camera, get up and start shooting before sunrise. However, at least for one day, leave your camera in the room and just enjoy the experience.
